About Art Represent
Art Represent is dedicated to empowering artists by providing resources and opportunities that foster economic mobility, support mental well-being, and build collaborative creative communities. Our Artist Resource Library Initiative aims to develop an accessible digital platform to help artists navigate funding opportunities, connect with arts organizations, and access essential tools for their creative and professional growth.
Role Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative volunteer to assist with building and maintaining a digital Artist Resource Library. This role will focus on content creation, research, and resource bank development to support artists in accessing critical opportunities, such as grants, residencies, and professional development tools.
Key Responsibilities
Research Support:
- Conduct research to identify artist grants, funding opportunities, residencies, and arts organisations globally.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to ensure the Resource Library is comprehensive and relevant.
Content Creation: Develop guides, articles, and resources tailored to artists, including topics such as: How to apply for grants (e.g., step-by-step tutorials); Navigate residency opportunities; Build a professional artist portfolio; Assist in designing and creating visually appealing toolkits and templates for artists.
Resource Library Development:
- Help organize and curate the Resource Library on our digital platform.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure resources are user-friendly and accessible.
Community Engagement:
- Support outreach efforts to gather insights and feedback from artists to improve the library continually.
- Build relationships with organizations and individuals to expand the library's offerings.
Qualifications
Strong research skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written communication skills with experience in content creation and resource development.
Familiarity with digital platforms and content organization tools is a plus.
Passion for supporting artists and understanding their challenges, particularly those from underrepresented or underserved communities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Commitment
Minimum of 5-10 hours per week for a period of 3-6 months.
Flexible work hours; fully remote volunteering.

Our relaunch initiative aims to enhance these efforts by revitalizing our digital platform, expanding artist support resources, and amplifying our impact through strategic communications.
Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated volunteer to support Art Represent’s communications efforts during our relaunch initiative. This role will focus on social media management, newsletter content creation, and digital outreach to engage our community, promote artists, and increase visibility for Art Represent’s mission and events.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management: Assist in developing and scheduling engaging content for Art Represent’s social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
Newsletter Content: Draft, format, and distribute quarterly newsletters featuring artist spotlights, funding opportunities, and event updates.
Event Promotion: Support communications for Art Represent’s relaunch event, including digital outreach, promotional materials, and social media campaigns.
Content Development: Write and edit blog posts, artist interviews, and feature articles to be published on our website and social media.
Community Engagement: Interact with our online audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
Graphic & Visual Content: Collaborate on the creation of visually compelling posts, and promotional materials (experience with Canva or Adobe Suite is a plus).
Qualifications
Strong written communication skills with experience in content creation.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) is a plus.
Passion for supporting artists and an understanding of the challenges faced by conflict-affected individuals.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
